“Freedom! It’s what we all deserve!” protested Flower strongly, raising her voice.

Roars of “NO!” blocked out Flower’s honest pleads.

Stone gazed guiltily at the pebbles scattered up on the gathering rock.

Luna glowered at her. Hate filled her for the one cat who would dare defy her orders! Her eyes swept over the arguing crowd. The fresh air and free wind gave a sense of peace to her mind. Flexing her long claws, she motioned for silence with a twinge of her tail. Scarred face determindly set, Flower stepped foward.

“If she leaves, I leave,” Flower mewed cooley, licking her paw.

Luna narrowed her eyes and bristled. Flower was so… well… good. Too good. She didn’t think. She just pounced into battle. Her instincts quickened into the heat of the arguement. She felt a strange satisfacion as Flower yowled in pain at the claws on her pelt. Before Luna could see what was happening, Stone and Flower had dissapeard.

“Good riddance,” Ivy muttered.

And Luna had to agree.

Running, forever running. Flower and Stone ran side by side. The wind blew their ruffled fur flat, and cleared their minds. Gradually they slowed down to a stop. Flower breathed in deeply, filling her lungs with fresh air.

“Thank you,” Stone whispered between gasps.

Flower gazed around, analizing the situation. They were on a small hill. Flower was dying to go over, but to exhasted. She glanced at Stone, and saw the same zeal inside, to explore.

“Best we find shelter.” Flower mewed, voice cracking into a yawn.

Stone nodded. The sun was gloriously falling behind the earth, and the stars were dancing in the sky. As Flower gazed at them, she felt a strange love of the bright white light of the moon and stars.
