"Kirsha, wait up!" Fire growled, running full speed to catch up to the crazy Kirsha.

"GET AWAY!" Kirsha roared, suddenly turning around and swiping at Fire.

Growling with fire in her eyes, Fire growled, "I thought we were friends!"

Without answering, Kirsha spun around angrily and started off at an impossible speed to follow.

Groaning, Fire turned back to the old ways, the old pack, and left Kirsha to fend for herself. Kirsha continued at a steady speed until she reached the familiar spot, the small cave, just large enough to fit a few bobcats. Collapsing on the moss-padded cave floor, she mused over what to do next.

"Isn't it obvious?" she thought to herself calmly, "Since I've been banished, I have to hunt for myself."

"Also," she continued out loud, "if any of the pack dare disturb me,"

She didn't finish the sentence. Setting herself to a goal, she dashed outside. She had to hunt to survive. Sniffing the air cautiously, she noted that Fire's scent was faint, meaning that the fur-ball had retreated to her own territory. Feeling the dirt under her paws, she felt a strange sensation, as if she were free. Free, from all of the stuffy pack rules and FREE of the leader. She felt that Moon hated her, despised her to all lengths. Yes, this is what she had wanted all along. To be free of a pack, a family. Her senses centered on a small rabbit, and she pounced with all of her strength. Feeling the satisfaction of a catch, she was surprised and angry to hear a pleading voice, "Are you going to finish that rabbit?"
